Ernie Lynch is the founder and President Mississauga-based Lynch Fluid Controls Inc. The company is a North American leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of hydraulic motion control manifolds and integrated hydraulic systems. Its products are used in the aerospace, material handling, mining, logging, industrial, mobile equipment automotive, plastics, medical, and entertainment sectors. Lynch offers hydraulic components, engineering expertise, and/or a complete hydraulic, motion control system manufacturing under one roof.
From his first year of operation at home and rebuilding pumps and valves in a freezing garage to 27 years later leading a globally recognized company praised by existing and new clients such as NASA, Ernie embodies the significance of vision coupled with persistence. The one-man start-up in Etobicoke in 1987 has mushroomed into a staff of nearly one hundred employees working within state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing facilities. In today’s dynamic global markets, Ernie’s vision of custom engineering solutions, automation and cutting edge technology enables the company to retain its competitive edge within the hydraulic motion control world.
Ernie was nominated as a finalist for the 2013 Ontario Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year Award in the Cleantech and Manufacturing category, and for the 2014 Ontario Export Awards in the Clean Technology Category. He previously served on the advisory board to Centennial and Humber College and as a Director of the National Fluid Power Association as well as the Canadian Fluid Power Association. Ernie is currently a Director with the Ontario Aerospace Council and on the SME Advisory Board to Foreign Affairs Canada.
Ernie received his apprenticeship diploma from Centennial College and was honored as the Centennial College 2011 Alumnus of Distinction. He is a true environmentalist that has invested in solar technology and works towards providing a healthy environment for his staff.
